Evolution of Tashita (1997-2016)
This is a new series where I will go over a series of vehicles from the main games of the Carmageddon franchise (console spin-offs, mobile versions and Crashers are excluded from this series) from the first game to the more recent Max Damage starting with Tashita, a Japanese import tuner with a deadly blade on most occasions attached to the front.
Tashita in C1/SP is a stealworthy car from Rank 89, however it is inferior to the starter cars during the early stages of career. As a wrecker it does not have the armor and offense of the Red Eagle and as a racer it does not have power and handling of the Yellow Hawk or Carrerasaur.
Tashita 2 in C2 is an above average Tier 1 vehicle with good power and handling that makes for a decent alternative as a racer against Purple Piledriver (although I don't like the cheesy grin front bumper and the beige interior). Offensive is pretty decent as well and weighty at 1.5 tons as because it's based off an R32 Skyline GT-R which uses a 4WD system and the chassis are both relatively known to be quite heavy so that's likely where the weight comes from. Although it's better armored than Purple Piledriver, it is still on the weak side. Also Tashita 2 is quite cheap at 170,000 credits.
Tashita in CR/MD, as much as I like this vehicle a lot, it is terrible overall. Despite having a very high top speed backed up with great acceleration (although the launch is poor), the handling for a Japanese car is appalling, it also does not help that its armor and offense are not great either. In career, it is best to stick with the Eagles.
In multiplayer scenarios, it is barely viable. It can perform decently in Death Race, Checkpoint Stampede and Fox N'Hounds, only as long as it doesn't have to turn or corner as much and unfortunately Tashita would often need to maneuver and taking racing lines a lot in order to lead/win a race. It can just about compete with other low tier cars such as the Hevy Impaler, Volkswerker and De Gory'Un. You have to be extremely lucky or well skilled to win against higher tier vehicles such as Shredlight, Crazor, Caddy Fat Cat and Electric Blue all of which are stronger in armor and offense and handle better as well despite Tashita accelerating quicker than all except for Electric Blue.
