Evolution of The Annihilator (1997-2016)
Next in the evolution series is The Annihilator. A top-fuel dragster with a long pointy spike at the front. It is basically a glass cannon.
Thanks to permanent hot rod, the C1 Annihilator's top speed and acceleration are unrivaled. However it does not make it a good vehicle to use, it is very fragile and a very difficult car to turn or drive for that matter. It's offense can be devastating against light to middle weight vehicles, however you'll waste a lot of time trying to line up a good hit, So if you unlock it early in the game via stealworthy, stick with the starter vehicles. The same can be said for the Annihilator II in splat pack, however this version is not stealworthy and can only be unlocked by completing the game.
Vlad 3 in C2, is surprisingly a lot more forgiving than its predecessors, although it doesn't feel as fast and the turning circle is quite huge. Also its e-brake is so strong you'll go from 200-0 in about a second. Offensive in Vlad 3 is very bad and its front spike tends to scoop opponents from underneath rather than to penetrate them. Same goes for the armour, but that is too be expected.
Vlad in TDR has a weird engine sound, it sounds like an electric vehicle for some reason. it has similar qualities to Vlad 3 in C2 fast, frail and also surprisingly forgiving with some of the offensive qualities from the C1/SP variants. Do note that it is very expensive at 1,495,000 credits.
The Annihilator in CR/MD, a lot of people think this is the worst vehicle in the game because it is literally uncontrollable and unforgiving due to its permanent hot rod. It isn't, it is in fact far from being the worst vehicle in the game. Sure it is a very difficult car to drive, but all it needs is some delicate throttle control and it can actually transform into a really devastating vehicle. Acceleration is unrivaled and a very high top speed that's only bested by Siamese Dream, however CR/MD does not have a lot of very long straights to reach more extreme top speeds, so acceleration will be better in most situations and as usual, its armour is weak, but still better than Countslash, KVN Toucan, Hawk R and the rear end of De Gory'Un.
Its qualities make it a solid mid to high tier vehicle in multiplayer assuming you can be careful with the throttle. The Annihilator has had what appears to be a buff to its armour from CR to CMD, which is great in most circumstances, however it makes it infuriatingly difficult to score kills by ramming in something called Annihilator Jousting (Car Crusher, no power-ups, Annihilators only).
