Exploring Teachers' Knowledge on Hypertension Management: A Study in Paccerakang Village High School
Layman's Abstract: Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is a serious long-term health issue that can lead to various complications and even death. Despite its risks, many people don't follow the treatment properly, and lack of knowledge about managing hypertension is a major factor. This study aimed to understand how much teachers at State Senior High School in Paccerakang Village know about managing hypertension. The research involved 50 teachers with hypertension, and the results showed that more than half of them had poor knowledge about how to manage their condition. This highlights the need for better education on hypertension management. The study suggests that the local Community Health Center should work with the school to provide specific training and resources to improve teachers' understanding of hypertension.
