F-Zero GX on Switch 2 GameCube Classics: Master Class beaten with Astro Robin
this ship is one of the few that the game intends to be beginner friendly that is actually beginner friendly. while it does have 2 weaknesses in low non-boosted top speed and considerable speed loss on turns, the ship is pretty easy to handle and can pick up speed pretty fast when boosting. the booster is quite good and can reach good speeds, especially after hitting some dash plates. the ship has pretty good stick turning even at 100% settings which helps a lot in most of the turns you can find. the boost can also help when going through the turns that lose a lot of speed since you can get to top speed pretty fast after that.
i'm playing using the Wii U GC Adapter and an original GC controller. i also have an input display to show what i do during gameplay. the input display also comes with a function to change sensitivity and that lets me get around the sensitivity problem present in this version. it feels much closer to the original. there's still the input lag but it's more manageable.
