F-Zero GX on Switch 2 GameCube Classics: Master Class beaten with Mighty Hurricane
21this ship is in several ways a better version of Mighty Typhoon. it has very similar strengths and weaknesses as that ship since this ship also has good handling with the stick, pretty good grip and weak booster. this ship is a little better though since it is heavier and has a higher non-boosted top speed which helps in several spots. it has a weaker body though so you need to be more careful with it. this ship is between top 10 and top 15 which makes it pretty good for beginners. it is overlooked pretty often even though it is well suited for that. there's a quirk with the grip where it can't do quick turns well at 100% settings so i lower it a bit in tracks where i need sharper turns. 90% settings or a bit lower work well for this. it doesn't get much benefits from the other techs so you'll be getting the most out of it right away.
i'm playing using the Wii U GC Adapter and an original GC controller. i also have an input display to show what i do during gameplay. the input display also comes with a function to change sensitivity and that lets me get around the sensitivity problem present in this version. it feels much closer to the original. there's still the input lag but it's more manageable.
