Imola was sadly cancelled due to the levels of flooding around the Emilia Romagna region of Italy and that means that Formula 1 is now moving onto what is known as the Jewel in the crown for the sport as the F1 circus moves onto the streets of Monte Carlo for the Monaco Grand Prix and it seems like right now the rain is going to be following them from Imola but thankfully it will not be as heavy.
Team will be bringing the updates that they intended to bring to Imola, Ferrari will be bringing a new floor and rear suspension and Mercedes will be bringing a new Front suspension, floor and bodywork as it seems the days of the zero pod is over. But the question is can this help Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, George Russell or Carlos Sainz to close the gap to Fernando Alonso, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez in the Red Bull and Aston Martin. Only time will tell for that. Overtaking at Monaco is very tricky so it will be all down to qualifying as the drivers will be looking to nail a lap and keep it out of the Monte Carlo walls. What will happen well anything can happen at Monaco.
Rain is expected and pirelli will be bringing a new spec of wet tyre, it will be interesting to see if these new Wet tyres can allow the drivers to compete in more wet conditions.
