Factorio - Optimized Steam Engine Setups (v 0.13)

I did a lot of testing prior to this video, and although parts of the results are a bit inconsistent I think the concept and math is pretty much confirmed. The math is important to understand if you want to optimize your power production.
Please note that this is only the basics in steam power, you can use small pumps in circuit networks and build buffer tanks with hot water to use as energy reserves, but before doing that you first need to fully understand the power production mechanics.
Also note that any setup I state as optimal is only optimized for what it's currently doing, not taking solar panels and day cycles into account.
