Factorio strats: railbase transitions
There's a lot of "how to railbase" content out there. I'm highlighting a few very general considerations, even though the example transition is a modded railworld.
Absolute tiling can make blueprinting a grid far more convenient. Then anticipate bots needing large reserves of rail, roboports, power poles, with steel & red chips often the challenging intermediates. Also surplus powergrid.
Finally, plugging railbase resources into existing spaghetti is likely better than having everything grind to a halt for a total rebuild. Rome was not un-spaghetti'd in a day. Happy railbasing!
