Factorio Tutorial #24 - Nuclear power
In this tutorial, I discuss nuclear power. I start by reviewing uranium ore mining, converting the ore into uranium 235 and uranium 238, generating more uranium 235 with the Kovarex enrichment process, and finally making the nuclear fuel cells. Then I explain how to generate power with FOUR components (I repeatedly say three in the video, oops!) of the system: reactors, heat pipes, heat exchangers, and steam turbines. I also demonstrate a simple logic circuit to control the consumption of fuel cells.
The blueprint book I use to set up larger nuclear power setups, by Andrew, can be found here: http://bit.ly/2iu7OcV
Nuclear power was added to the game with version 0.15. It is the most space-efficient way to generate electricity, but it comes at a price - the process is relatively complicated, and the research and equipment is expensive. But if you're looking for some additional complexity in the game, nuclear power can be fun to set up.

This is a tutorial series in Factorio version 0.15. This series is aimed towards newer players, or those who have been away from the game for a while. I will spend more than the usual amount of time explaining what I'm doing and why. The goal of this playthrough is to get to a fairly quick single rocket launch. I am playing without mods, and enemy bases are set to "None" (no biters) to put the focus on base-building.
