The Line is not only a re-imagining of the military shooter series but also an interpretation of the chilling classic Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.
The author's name serves as a reference itself for the name of US colonel John Konrad, one of many lost when Dubai is devoured by a sand storm of biblical proportions. As Martin Walker, captain of an elite Delta Squad, you are sent in to find out his whereabouts and recover any survivors. But the mission takes a dark turn when rouge military and scavengers begin trading gunfire in the ruins, and evidence of unspeakable atrocities surfaces seemingly attributed to Konrad himself.
