Description:
Corona Megistos is a Jewelmancer who cannot seem to use her family's minion summoning magic, though she can use offensive staff magic. One day, she senses an evil presence at a ruin, leading her to find the Machina, Arcturus Noah, who gives her the power to summon minions. Unfortunately, that evil presence, Nova, is going on a rampage and will likely destroy her village.

0:00 The Gap Between Recklessness and Valor
The plant enemies can be annoying due to their ability to create long lasting damage fields, making it hard to approach them. You may want to create more heal units.
6:26 Confrontation with an Elder Dragon
I somehow killed the dragon boss before noticing there were other enemies.
Afterwards, you can synthesize staves so you can transfer passive attributes from one to another. Note the the base staff will determine the number of passives you can have.
14:37 Remnants of a Dead Kingdom
Dalpa reveals that the castle where Nova is hiding is actually the remains of the Kingdom of Megistos. Dalpa was once a member of the royal guard, but the kingdom fell because of Nova.
The ghost enemies are really annoying, since they have i-frames when vanishing. You have to wait for them to reappear before you can shoot them.
22:18 Beyond the Labyrinth
Arcturus questions Corona's resolve, and when she insists that she will stop Nova, he removes the limiter that Aurelia placed on her. This allows Corona to upgrade her minions in the middle of battle and make them bigger.
30:32 Shadows of Glory
Unfortunately, that limiter was in place so that Corona would peer too far into the boundary and go insane. She starts hearing Nova's voice, who beckons her to find it.
37:11 Silent Lament
Nova sends images to Corona's mind, revealing that King Megistos sacrificed his own people for his experiments. Nova itself doesn't want to go berserk, but cannot control itself, so it wants Corona to kill it.
You will only fight ether masses and mini Novas here.
44:04 Sins of the Blood and a Mother's Resolve
Nova will summon a lot of minions to keep you busy, including bosses, but you can always take advantage of them to farm gems for your army.
48:02 A Jewelmancer Named Corona Megistos
Nova somehow transforms into a Machina vaguely resembling Apocalypse Noah. Arcturus is worried at first, but Corona reminds him that he's a real Machina, so he shouldn't lose to a fake.
Again, Nova will summon a ton of minions and boss monsters, including the dragon.
After the battle, Nova will speak to Corona one last time. While it doesn't regret killing the evil king, it does regret destroying the kingdom and everyone unrelated to its revenge. It also states that Aurelia is still alive. There's no telling if she still has her sanity though. Corona wants to set out to find her, though she wants to at least practice swordplay first, which implies that she'll have a different moveset in the next Machina installment.
Afterwards, you can play some extra stages and harder difficulties, but these have no story content. The harder difficulties basically increase the level of the enemies as well as their drops, but otherwise offer nothing new. The ex stages just pit you against the enemies of the game again, with the final ex mission being a slightly harder Nova fight.
This game has some interesting ideas, but the UI for minions is kind of clunky and I prefer the combo RPG system of the previous game.
