4,890The Minecraft Survival Guide Season 2 continues! This tutorial will show you how to farm an Amethyst Geode. We extract the movable blocks of a geode to get the most out of the non-movable block - Budding Amethyst - and discuss why mining by hand might be a better approach than automation.
Then, by flooding the area around the geode, we can set up an easy way of both mining the amethyst clusters and collecting their drops for easy access to both renewable amethyst and tinted glass!
We also decorate our spawn Nether Portal with geode blocks and discuss what other blocks they can pair well with, establishing a magical theme for our portal network in the process.
