FAST Red Research UPGRADE UPDATE and Power - GUIDE - Scratch Made Dyson Sphere Program Twitch Stream
10Still in the early game of Dyson Sphere Program, the goal of today's stream is to start Red Research Matrix production and finish up my other automation. The thing about Red Cubes is that they aren't hard to make, but to most efficiently produce them you need to go into two phases. The first is just to force out Energetic Graphene from Coal and filter out any Hydrogen from refined oil. The next step, after researching X-Ray cracking, is to turn your refined oil into all the Hydrogen and Energetic Graphene you will need at this stage of the game. Our future is going to get a little more complicated because I'm going to need to use some refined oil I produce to make sulfuric acid, but after setting up a bunch of refineries I fun into another problem: power generation. Twitch Chat may come to my rescue in terms of how to propel the future forward with fossil fuels, but by the end of this session we still have some cleaning up to do before moving into setting up logistics and interplanetary travel.
Unfortunately twitch chat wasn't visible during the stream. That's my mistake for not pressing one button but hopefully you understand what I'm responding to.

Note that this Snake build isn't the only way to build a good early base -- and as you'll see I even deviate from my plans part way through because I see a better solution. That's the beauty of these kind of games: you can follow a guide or go your own way. As long as it works, it works.
Dyson Sphere Program is a factory building game that lets you jump between planets and star systems to collect resources and build, shockingly enough, a Dyson Sphere. It is a game that has greatly captured my imagination and does not feel like it is in Early Access. But at this stage it is, and at least so far there is no combat or enemies, so we are free to build. In this series, I will be focusing on correcting the mistakes of my first play through, working more efficiently, and completing a Dyson Sphere BEFORE I do the "Mission Complete" research.
