Yeah, one of those days. I have a 6 pound sack of bones and fury who is going to live to be 20 years old just out of hatred and spite. Also, Curse of the Dead Gods is pretty good and in this run I do my best to get my first Medium Temple clear on this save file. The gear is right, but will Amazon Trucks stop delivering on my street?

Curse of the Dead Gods is a game that has taken me by surprise and leaves Early Access on February 23, 2021. This is an action roguelike with a top down isometric view that borrows systems from a lot of different games. Enjoy permanent progression from Hades? Got it. Enjoy a Slay the Spire style map where you can plan ahead on your run? It's in the game. Methodical combat involving limited stamina similar to the Fromsoft Souls games? Absolutely. How about torch management like in Darkest Dungeon? You didn't even know you wanted that in this game, but you do. There's even a whole Corruption system that most will compare to Darkest Dungeon, but to be honest in implementation it feels a lot more like Eternal Darkness. The thing that gets me though? It all works, and works very well.
