Time to hit the asphalt and burn some rubber, we're here with Fast Track, a throwback to the classic days of computer racing games.

Anyone who grew up in the 80s or early 90s should have seen a few racing games in their time. Fast Track plays a lot like Crazy Cars III, but with updated and graphics, gameplay, and fun. It's certainly prettier looking than Crazy Cars III, but it still manages to retain that old, nostalgic feel while bringing something new to the table.

As aforementioned, the graphics pretty good, especially for a casual online racer. The different cars are pretty much just palette swaps of one another, but for the most part they look pretty good. The levels do leave a bit to be desired in terms of variety, but they do more than well enough considering you're not here to browse scenery, you're her to race.

The audio is pretty good as well, with a nice, catchy beat and nice sound effects like screeching tires, ramming cars, and honking horns. The sounds, like the graphics, don't vary much, but again, it's not the focus of the game so it can be overlooked.

If you're familiar with racing games, the controls of this one shouldn't be all that difficult. You steer, and you accelerate; there's no need to worry about changing gears (though that would be nice) or anything else. You simply focus on controlling where you twist and turn, and how you accelerate and brake, key things on these tracks.

The gameplay is where this particular racer really excels. As stated before, how you drive is pretty important on the tracks, as they're all twisty and turny nightmares of noodly, convoluted road. The tracks are pretty tough, and at times maddeningly complicated. Not only do you have to take left and right into consideration, but you've also got to worry about roads that slope upwards and downwards, something that can easily limit your visibility on the tracks. And the racers you're competing against aren't pushovers, they'll quickly steal the race from you should you lag behind.

You can also upgrade your car, allowing for better handling, higher top speeds, faster acceleration, and so on and so forth. How much you can upgrade your ride depends entirely on how well you perform on the races, with better performances obviously allowing for better upgrades.

All in all, this is a pretty great game. It can get a bit old after some time, but if you like challenging racers, then Fast Track is definitely something you should check out.
