The last map cleared by having Marth seize and also the last map where any real fighting happens considering how quickly we'd intended to be done with Endgame all along. The enemies are noticeably meeker compared to H5 foes in non-gaiden chapters, a tendency in this game as you're apparently expected to be struggling if you've had enough party members die to the extent you're entering a gaiden chapter (not sure if getting a gaiden chapter is something the developers thought was a conscious choice by most players). It's a very unique map as far as enemy class choice is concerned, with previously unseen enemy types roaming around in large numbers: sorcerers, berserkers, warriors, swordmasters... Makes you wish they'd done the same remaking the original FE1.
Hoarding any boosters past this map has no use whatsoever, so we might as well spend them now. Nobody actually needs them when you think about it, with key units having more than sufficient offence (bordering on capping things even) and decent enough bulk. And yet the boosters are so abundant that they're almost asking for some kind of meme build and you see just the thing being set up at the beginning of the video.
Elise takes over Fortify duties (with much lower magic, so Boah assists with Physic too, for a change) as Lena becomes a mounted levinmaster, doubling and 2HKOing every non-dragon enemy on the map after taking most of my stat boosters. Dragons do take only 0 damage from her, so she eats the energy drops too, allowing her to double and 2HKO those with the Devil Sword. Lena got to 21 lck naturally thanks to her high growth and plenty of levels behind her; however, that's still a 10% backfire rate and, as you can see in the video, that can lead to some dangerous situations.
The boosters Lena doesn't take are given to Sedgar and Barst. Sedgar reaches A bows for Parthia access as a Horseman, shining in this map, whilst Barst fulfils the less desirable function of a General tank (also done by Sedgar, as we have seen in this run's countless maps) by parking himself in the way of enemies with his 22 def and hard-to-double speed after chapters upon chapters of quality level-ups.
Abel and Lena are capable of doubling and 2HKOing just about anything on the map at 1-2 range. Levin sword offence tends to be much weaker here than in New Mystery released afterwards, where their power is much higher, but Lena having taken 5 spirit dusts gives her remarkable offence and WTA against the ubiquitous axe users. Who knows, if there were more of them, training sword users would've actually mattered a bit.
I end up routing the map just because I can. The treasure is hardly worth going for, as neither Aura nor Excalibur have any uses coming either here or in Endgame. A real shame Boah (or Etzel) didn't get to use Excalibur in this run due to the Merrick/Wendell skip.
This being my final chapter with any real fighting of enemies, I show off my entire army's stats, including the benchwarmers. As you can see, I made it a point to preserve even the more useless party members like Jagen (who would be useful if his competition didn't have way better stats), Midia or Etzel.
