The thumbnail hints to us that this is the first chapter where stat boosters are acquired thanks to Anna's secret shop; however, it's one of the run's highlights for different reasons. Namely, the enemies are so abundant and competent that specific positioning and units are required, which is not always the case in this playthrough. I'd even say that all sixteen deployment slots are in use even if it weren't for Etzel, Xane and Boah doing nothing noteworthy with their actions here. In Xane's case, we could really use a clone of Abel or Shiida, but having to split the army into three groups doesn't allow him to be in any place where he'd be useful on turn 2.

Sixteen slots even after going into 20x with 15 units and not recruiting Ymir there; how is that possible, you may ask? Well, Shadow Dragon has a generic character system, which gives you a random generic when your number of currently selectable units is below the maximum deployment for a map, which is sixteen for this map. This is how we got Zas, a generic swordmaster from Class A who will be seen in different classes for the rest of his stay in our army (I must say we got lucky with his Class set as he'd be useless to us in Class Set B). In this clear, Zas goes Sniper to help Cain kill a dracoknight, avoiding a counter with Longbow. He misses. This is a sign of similar contributions to come for our faceless friend.

The enemy density is very high so we need to secure a reliable rout of the map by turn 2 enemy phase, when Marth gets very close to the gate. Abel is the bulkiest dracoknight we've got so he takes on all three dracos in the east, including the brave lance one. He will clear the way to the secret shop for Midia and then assist the main force of the army in the middle. Shiida will bait just one draco, ORKOing with silver. Cain will counter a javelin draco and try to get the kill exp on the next turn. Because Zas misses, Horace gets the kill instead (it's his first).

Things are most interesting in the centre of the map. Barst will counterkill two of the three generals with a hammer. He will be chosen over Sedgar due to his much lower defence. He needs to dodge one of their four brave lance attacks; possible with Berserker's defensive stats (and also Hero's, but heroes don't grow strength past the cap...). Sedgar will be at the front of surviving attacks and he will be attacked by most paladins. He needs to connect Poleax attacks to kill them all, leaving just two alive for next turn. Jake will shoot at the last general, not weakening him enough to trigger Fortify use from the priests but enough for Hardin to 2HKO with silver lance on turn 1 EP. Hardin will get in range to finish the last paladin on turn 2 after Jake weakens him again. Shiida will OHKO the left mage with silver (her positioning is also fixed), while Abel will fly from the east and take out the last mage. This will leave just one draco alive to threaten Marth before he seizes. Marth had to take one of my (now) five Speedwings before the map to avoid getting doubled by this draco, even though Marth's speed is actually really good for this kind of run. I hadn't rigged a speed level last time Marth levelled up, but this is okay.

The stat boosters are really cheap with the silver card held by the buyer. Most of them are kinda unnecessary with how high the stats on my key units are, but with nothing to spend money on I'll take three copies of each, the maximum you can get.
