Haven't had much desire to do any uploading recently. Too much stress to have any motivation left to sit down and write these long descriptions as I usually, so when I log into the website I'm too tired of everything and grumpy so I just watch other people's videos and complain about the first things that come to mind. Hopefully I'll be able to do more stuff on this channel around Christmas time, but right now I'm pretty much burnt out.

I was thinking about uploading more BoF2 retranslation videos to clean up the content of the folder I stored those videos in waiting until I'd stop feeling discouraged about sharing them but thought people would find this new challenge to be cool. I started it very recently because in the challenges I have in progress there's either a massive stall point without much action or hours of grinding, so I needed something fun. And this has been fun so far.

So in a Morpher SCC, the main rule is that we use Morphers only. And Marche, who is permanently a Hunter. Without Hunter's Capture skill, we can't get any new skills/monsters or even weapons (besides Mythril Soul). In storyline missions, Marche doesn't move or act so that the Morphers get all the action. If all Morphers are dead, we restart.

Morpher is a fun class that I've always neglected to use. If you can capture a lot of monsters, you can morph into all kinds of beast. In this challenge, it's not allowed to feed the monsters in the monster bank.

Advantages of Morpher?

Good speed.
A variety of skills to choose from.
Damage into MP allows non-MP dependent combos to be great tanks.

Shortcomings? Plenty.

Average defences.
Have to waste one turn in the beginning of each battle to transform.
No access to healing early on.
As the challenge progresses, monsters should be released and higher-levelled ones should be hired instead because the enemies in the storyline missions jump in levels fairly quickly.

Catching is surprisingly fun though, and I'm enjoying the challenge so far.

In the first two battles, I mostly use Bug and Panther transformations. Bug has Sandstorm, which heals all adjacent units for formidable physical damage (at this point anyway) and may blind the victims too. It's too good at this point.

Panther has good attack and can poison, it also has a physical attack that's slightly stronger that should be used instead of Poison Claw when the enemy is already poisoned / is immune to the status.

Flan is good with the right mission items. I declared a Sprinkler for the second mission, which increases water and ice damage. With the Ice flan captured, we can cast Blizzard / Blizzara / Blizzaga at the enemies as if they were weak to the element. Very useful.

The first mission was quite hard, as we could only use 3 Morphers, and the second was a breeze because almost everybody knew Sandstorm at that point.

Famfrit is next so let's see if he's more challenging. I do know too well that he's got a great defence at this point in the game.

Oh yeah, and I forgot to say:

Morphers stay as Morphers for the whole challenge, no levels or abilities under other classes.

Also, Items cannot be used.
