FFVIII: Catoblepas, Trauma and Red Giant
4Catoblepas is weak to earth and water so configure your junctions accordingly. Also try to get your characters to absorb thunder magic as he uses Thundaga often. You can also draw Meteor from him, so stock up if you haven't already. When you deplete his HP, he'll cast one more Meteor spell so make sure your party is in good condition when you finish him.
Trauma is weak to wind. He summons Dromas to help him, but a Tornado spell should take those out. There's really nothing special about this fight. Just keep everyone healthy and Trauma will eventually go down without much trouble.
It's a good idea to blind the Red Giant as soon as the fight begins. His physical attacks hit pretty hard. Physical attacks will do almost no damage to him due to his incredibly high defense and Meltdown won't work on him. This leaves you two options. Summon Doomtrain if you have him junctioned, which will lower his defense considerably, or hit him with Demi. After a few of those, finish him off with Diablos if you have him. Basically make sure you have either Doomtrain or Diablos in this fight and he should go down easily enough.
