hey guys what's up!! today i got a classic VGM song that i covered for you all! well, i say classic but this song is barely over 4 years old which is crazy that Deltarune is so old yet still so young lol. anyways, i finished this arrangement back in December of 2022. it's actually 1 year exactly on this day of uploading, which is purely coincidental i swear lol. it's my first 32-channel arrangement i did, and it was a pretty tall task to make

so with covering a song as well-known and revered as Toby Fox's Field of Hopes and Dreams, how do you live up to it's majesty, yet not make the same cover someone else already made?? well, i tried really focusing on a wide robust chipsound using lots of samples and panned instruments. i also tried using a lot of percussive instruments that fade slowly so they can have chord tones. it gives a lot of instruments a "piano" feel to them, which is like the perfect sound for something nostalgic and energetic like FoHaD :)

so since this song has such a nostalgic and sentimental sound too it, i reeeaaaally tried pushing the sense of sadness in it. one trick i found is having a lot of the chords be up higher in the treble clef range, instead of upper bass clef range. it gave this weirdly ominous, yet wholesome feeling to the chords. i guess that's the best way i can explain it. i also had all the melody samples have percussive attacks, so they could all cut through the mix better, keep a strong groovy pulse, and give a "piano" feel to them. i hope you enjoy!!!

also lastly, maybe soon i'll start a Patreon, because i really have recently realized how much i love making tese remixes and adding my personal flair on to them. of course i'm way out of my depth there, considering my subscriber count but i figure if i keep making this stuff at the same or higher quality then people will come around eventually, and i can make some money from doing what i love :)
