(Read below for combo notation)
A viewer named Wesinhuman recorded some Ricardo advanced combos involving AA JA AA, and so I had to experiment with the combo filler myself.
(he IMO does more optimal combos with the route than I do; go visit his channel:
https://www.youtube.com/@Wesinhuman)
AA JA allows you an easier time to insert JA into your combos than just a raw JA.
Notation:
I use CPU keypad notation for directions; 8=up, 4=left, 6=right, 2=down, 5=neutral.
A=attack, J=jump, S=special
x = that particular hit in the chain doesn't occur; ie if I write xAA, that means you perform Ricardo's 2nd and 3rd hits of his chain ie press A 2 times, not press A 3 times
0:00 AA x3
(facing right)
66 (grab),
6A, 66 -
AA - 66JA - air 6S,
6AA - 6JA,
6AA - 6JA,
6AA8AJ
-surprisingly, doing AA x3 after air 6S is a lot easier compared to the other combos listed; you just need to hit the 1st 6A ASAP after air S to make sure AA x3 is started as high as possible, and then you will have a lot more room for error
0:10 after 6638A
(facing right)
66 (grab),
6A, 66 -
AA - 663(delay)8A,
66AA - 6JA,
6AA - 663(delay)8A,
66AA - 6JA,
6AA8AJ
-after 6638A, it's possible to do "AA JA AA JA AA," or AA x3, but it's just a bit too hard for me to record a clean take; if you want to see what it looks like, go over to Wesinhuman's YT channel
-it's tough to learn the precise timing for pressing 6A right after 6JA; my suggestion is to search on YT for a fighting game technique called "double tap" or "double tapping;" it will help make sure you input 6A as soon as you land from the 6JA
0:23 after throw
(facing right)
66 (grab),
6A, 66 -
AA - 6JA,
6AA - 663(delay)8A,
66AA - 6JA,
6AA - 663(delay)8A,
66AA8AJ
-even harder than the previous combo is landing AA x2 after a throw; you need to land the 1st 6A ASAP, around Ricardo's fist
-it's tough to learn the precise timing for pressing 6A right after 6JA; my suggestion is to search on YT for a fighting game technique called "double tap" or "double tapping;" it will help make sure you input 6A as soon as you land from the 6JA
