Here we see a stray Doomguy, way away from home, in unfamiliar labyrinthine surroundings. Like all hyper-aggressive creatures, the only way for it to calm down in such territory is by going on a hunt for wild Arch-Viles and then escaping to wider areas.
In other words, I have never memorised my way around this map at all. Most of it is me just charging around, being drawn toward the next bastard Hellspawn stupid enough to start laughing within earshot - I just so happen so get the Yellow Skullkey and open the exit along the way, which works out fine.
Oh, and a shiny new BFG9000 is for the taking as a reward. What a wonderful gift.
