One of my 4 records for our 2k11 new TNT demopack uploaded in DW. Actually the 4th entry of mine for the projoect ;)

This level is described as tough by some and easy by others. I tend to agree with the first opinion, since we are talking about speedrunning and not casual playing. Ryback's route was already pretty much the optimized one even tho there were some slight changes possible. Method replied with a better time, shaving off the mistakes done by Ryback, but 04:36 was his first exit, so he could have done much better for sure. In order to get a good time, is not only important to make no mistakes and keep a perfect movement, but infighting and -even more important- monsters moving like hoped are a good key to reach a sub 04:30. At the beginning, just clear the enemies and reveal the first secrets, then break through the outdoor area. Many hitscanners stays on the cliffs, and pinkies and mancubus below. I wanted to pick up the yellowkey, leaving the killing for later on, with the help of the cyberdemon. I run to the bluekey too, getting the megaarmour right before (saving it for later, cost more time-wise due to the route) and then I woke up the cyberdemon and went to the 10rockets and the invulnerability sphere. During invulnerability time, you must deal the most damage to the cyb and let him kill the most with his rockets too, and this is one of the parts where game has to co-operate a bit :) if you are lucky here, some very close mancubus will harm the cyb a lot, while having some enemies infighting very far away is utterly annoying, and time consuming. After the fight is over you just ahve to re-enter the main room, and reach the blue and yellow doors, to reach the final area. It's good to have some armour left there, since rev, hellknights and all the hitscanners will hit you sometimes for sure. My first exit of 04:30 wasnt really satisfying, but took quite long to get this 04:2x after many slight slower exits.

Major troubles speedrunning-wise:
oh yea. there are actually many. While picking up the yellowkey, very often you get either caged by the revenants and imps and die, or escape the room and leave a rev trapped, which will not be killed afterwards ruining the 100% kills achievement. When breaking in the outer area, it's important to wake up the 2 mancubus who otherwise will block your jump to the bluekey. When waking up the cyberdemon, the mancubus and other shotgun guys may stay in the cross-shaped or move in the outer area and therefore getting killed by the rockets flying. Those are just a few troubles of the many met while speedrunning here.
