Thanks to Desch's sacrifice at the Tower of Owen, we can finally explore the outer ring of the floating continent. The main point of interest for us is the Dwarven Hollows, which is of course a place where dwarves live; they're in a bit of a pinch right now, as a fiend named Gustco recently stole one of their prized Horns of Ice and ran off into the subterranean lake.

Dwarves are very dense and can't actually swim, so they're at a loss on how to recover their horn.

Anyway, before helping them in their hour of need, I decided to first go around and explore a bit more of the area in the outer ring. This includes the Village of the Ancients (presumably, Desch came from here), and the very famous village of Gysahl- a name that should be familiar to most Final Fantasy fans, even those who never played this entry.... Yup, it is the birthplace of the ever present Gysahl Greens item.

Ok, after doing our little tour, we finally returned to help the dwarves. The subterranean lake can be accessed through the little lake inside the Dwarven Hollows, but only after using the Toad spell. The dungeon itself is fairly simple, and Gustco is not particularly dangerous.

He is cunning though!

As usual, the software belongs to its owners, I only record my gameplay for my own enjoyment.
