Alan Wake Remastered (Switch on Switch 2) Episode 4: The Truth (Part 1)
So as I suggested when I began this playthrough, the Switch 2 ended up coming out before I could finish the game. And well, this is how this port looks like on it.
As you can plainly see, the many layers of vaseline they used in order to shove the game into the Switch are still very much there. The game looks like a dark blurry mess most of the time. However I suppose it looks and performs the best it can possibly do when you use a Switch 2... Maybe if we compared it to the earlier chapters it may be a bit more obvious.
Here's hoping they actually patch it to unlock the visuals a bit more. Though they're far more likely to just re-release it at some point I suppose.
This fourth episode begins with Alan waking up as a patient in the Cauldron Lake Lodge. The very punchable owner, Dr. Hartman, attempts to convince him that he's been a patient all along, and that everything that's happened in the story up to this point is nothing more than Alan's delusions; a dark reality his mind created to punish himself after Alice drowned.
Of course, it would take a little bit more than that to get us to fall for such a boring trope and, after a looooooong series of expository conversations with several characters in the clinic, all darkness breaks loose and the lodge is taken over. Thankfully Barry is there (not by his choice, mind you) to help us find a way out.
(Like seriously most of this video is spent listening to people talk)
As usual, the software belongs to its owners, I only record my gameplay for my own enjoyment.
