TLoZ: Oracle of Seasons #9 - Onox's Castle & Room of Rites
With all the Essences of Nature in hand, the Maku Tree is able to create a Maku Seed, a powerful charm capable of dispelling the evil aura that prevented us from accessing Onox's Castle.
Of course before we can go there, I gotta stock up on some reviving potion, which involves collecting rupees. Thankfully, it's very easy to collect money in these games, you just dig around until you hit a jackpot.
Anyway, as you may be able to notice, the final location and bosses of Oracle of Seasons are considerably more difficult than those in Oracle of Ages- and no, it's not because this is a linked game, Onox is simply a harder boss than Veran. Which of course.... Means I'll have to grind again to get another potion for the final-final area of the game.
The Room of Rites is exclusive to the linked games; it's the area where Twinroba do their hexing rituals to revive Ganon. Navigating the maze is not super difficult, you just need to follow the direction none of the statues dare to look at.
Twinrova is battled in two phases: first as the individual witches Koume and Kotake, and then as Twinrova formally. The first phase is somewhat harder because you're meant to use their own attacks against themselves and there's basically no way to aim, so I usually resort to sticking to a corner and hoping for the best. Thankfully, the second phase is less tedious.
Following their defeat, the witches resort to using their own failing bodies as the final sacrifice in order to revive Ganon (the original plan was to use Zelda but you interrupted them), and so, a mindless raging Ganon is brought into the world. Ganon battles in a somewhat similar way to how he did in A Link to the Past, and uses some fun and interesting attacks, he is however not all that difficult to deal with.
With Ganon and Twinroba dealt with, the lands of Hyrule, Labrynna and Holodrum are all finally at peace, and Link decides leave find himself at sea.
Will this seafaring adventure be a dream come true? Or will he find himself stuck in a nightmare? Only time will tell.
As usual, the software belongs to its owners, I only record my gameplay for my own enjoyment.
