0At the summit of the inner sanctum, Exdeath will be waiting. A tree will grow on the summit, and Exdeath will merge into it. More voids will cover the overworld, dragging every portion of living things into them. After being dragged into the void, the spirits of the deceased will warp your team back to the inner sanctum. When the battle begins, Exdeath will be merged with the tree, leading off with a white hole that petrifies one fighter and brings it down in one stroke. Using life and soft spells will revive the fighter and unpetrify it. After damaging it a little, its next batch of moves feature holy, flare, and death spells. After you damage Exdeath enough, it will summon a void and be dragged into it, revealing its true form, Neo Exdeath. Its body has 4 different parts, all bearing many different moves. The top part can unleash a barrage of grand crosses that strike your entire team and dealing random status conditions. All parts of the body can summon an almagest barrage to inflict the sap condition to your team. The back part can unleash a delta effect to petrify one fighter. The best strategy would be to use spells that strike all of the bodies at once and summon Bahamut to join in as well. After defeating its neo form, you have completed the game.
