I decided to make this week a special week.
I've already uploaded plenty of videos showcasing both native Linux gaming and gaming via WINE and Proton. But there is still one area I haven't touched: console emulators.
Luckily for us, Linux gamers, pretty much every emulator out there has a Linux version, so we have a lot to choose from.
In this first video I am demonstrating a game from the legendary Final Fantasy series that is usually overlooked, and, while it may be not as good as many of the games in the franchise, it's still Final Fantasy and it's still a good game.
This game was originally released for PlayStation 2, and I use the latest version of the PCSX2 emulator to make it run.
If you are interested in the configuration I used, read the notes below or write a comment,

My specs are:

Distro: Ubuntu 19.04
PCSX2: 1.5.0
PCSX2 video plugin: GSdx (GCC 8.2.0 AVX2/AVX2) 1.1.0 [libGSdx-AVX2] - OpenGL Hardware, pretty much maxed out settings
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K @ 3.70GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
GPU Driver: NVIDIA 430.40
RAM: 16 GB
