This is the story mode encounter with Ravana. It is a Hard Mode.

It's not too bad actually. The only reason we wiped a few times? We went in missing a healer and one of the tanks refused to off tank just kept in shield oath anyhow...But once the other tank just decided to OT it we won. The problem was the adds weren't dying fast enough up until that point. Lol man why are Western players so caught up in pride and tank ego contests? It's sad we could have cleared it on the first try if not for that.

I'm not the best at giving at advice but here's what I can tell you:

Prelude to Slaughter is one of the moves to watch out for. First it's a melee AoE in a line, then AoE patterns on the ground you need to avoid and then head towards the center to avoid the last part of the attack.

Slaughter is combo attack. It has a knockback to it that you'll want to be near solid wall for the second phase when he breaks the walls. you CAN fall off and die, hence I couldn't revive our ninja he was gone for good. After that there is a cross fire AoE you'll want to dodge, it'll leave the ground burning inflicting debuffs on you if you touch it for a bit. Lastly some players will be targeted by orbs and need to spread out as they're about to get hit by some big damage. Stay away from others when marked.

KILL the Adds ASAP, especially the Moon Gana. Failure to kill these adds will result in them casting a spell that'll drop a sword. If too many swords are dropped you'll wipe and not reach the second phase.

Swift Slaughter is another move you'll want to watch out for. He'll target players with a white icon, if you are targetted stay away from others as Ravana is going to charge at you and the other marked targets.He'll then do an AoE with the center being the safe spot and then an AoE with the edges being the safe spot.

Pillars of Heaven is another annoying move, it's a party wide knock-back. This can be deadly in the second phase when he's broken the walls so stay near the solid walls, he doesn't break them all. Failure to do so and he may knock you off the edge, killing you until a wipe or victory.

Think that covers it for the most part, there's some AoEs and he has a cleave so don't stand in front of him.

All in all I enjoyed this. Ravana has a really badass design too so that helps. Those Chandrahas blades! The music is something I did not expect, I like it though. It does convey he loves war but has honor to him he's not evil, he's doing it just since he lives to fight.

He also earned bonus points for dropping his triple triad card for me on this run.
