Final Part Of Finishing The Lego City! (Securing The Lego City Tables, & Putting The City Back!)
In todays video, we dive into the final part on bringing the city back! We begin this video after a trip to the Home Depot for wood. I go into an explanation of where the wood will be going in regard to where the table needs bracing. This part of the video did not go as planned, I got quickly exhausted and only record half of the time lapse footage. What you see in the time lapse is me installing the center 2x4 board to secure the front two tables to the rest of the tables. This is done to extend the Ikea tables out far enough to allow our amount of baseplates we use. Before the buildings would sag in a dip, with this board they will not. I had to cut and sand the board down 1/4 of an inch, which is what burnt me out. I proceeded with the leveling and bracing until I had a almost smooth surface on the entire area. I then added a 6x40 inch over hang for the amusement park. After all this wood work and securing the tables, it was time to call it a day, and rest. I woke early the next day and started assembling the city back together. I was going to do it in three parts, first, put the MILS plates down tight and join them with friction pins, second, tile and secure the plates together completing sidewalks and road features, and third, add back our minifigures. But I decided to work small city areas do all three tasks as I go along. When I got to the amusement park, I realized now is the time to fix many mistakes in tiling, and where I placed the botanical garden. So I went to work moving the botanical garden to cover up the cantinas ugly, and then repaired the tiling. This is where we break for now, I am currently filming a 2 part building series for two modulars that go in the row infant of the park. That is why two buildings and two MILS plates are missing. Once that series is done, we will tile that area off and add back our minifigures. We do a moment of reflection and go back and remember the damage and what happened with a edited version of the damage report in the Lego tour video. Then we take a full tour and see what it looks like now. As always please comment your thoughts down below. If you enjoyed the video please Like, Share, and Subscribe! Thank you for watching!
