In todays video we are finally tackling the 500 subscriber builds. The builds I have chosen are the retired Lego DC Batman 1989 Batmobile set #76139, and the 1989 Batwing set #76161. Both of these sets are in my top 5 or top 10 list of must have retired Lego sets. So being able to get both for $600 is very much a “cake and eat it too” scenario. I break down the price by basically paying $200 for the Batwing, and $400 for the Batmobile. The guy I bought these sets from ended up saving me about $150 on these sets. Todays video we are focusing only the 1989 Batwing from 2020. On the box we have the overall dimensions of the set and the showcase of the minifigures. Inside the box we have 13 bags (most doubled), a sticker sheet, and an instruction manual. The build went exceptionally smooth over a period of 6 hours, and was a lot of fun. Luckily today was the day we got our replacement parts in from ShopPopDisplays and while setting the Batwing in, we can also repair its display case that arrived broken from shipping. After the repairs, we go over in depth and fully review the Batwing and all of its great detail. We go over the minifigures of Batman, the Joker in black tux, and Laurence The Boombox Goon. We finish this video by setting the Batwing in its case, as well as the plague and the minifigures, and seal up the front panel. Final thoughts on this set are, its a definite buy, especially as its price is still very reasonable so far only a year after its retirement. As always please comment your thoughts down below.
