Finally, Dark Souls 3 is slightly less grey and brown! Only half joking, the revamped areas in this mod are beautiful as long as the lighting is good. Some areas are so dark I actually used a torch as a light source for the first time ever. The best looking area I think is either the Ringed City with more vibrant color and contrast or the moon realm Irithyll where you fight Pontiff Ashina… Isshin Sulyvahn? That fight was definitely the highlight of the mod, I loved it so much. As for regular progression there’s a lot of warp points throughout the world to open it all up but I only used one of them. There’s a warp point in Deacon’s boss room that takes you to Irithyll which I used to reach Yorshka for the Darkmoon Covenant. The covenant revamp is great, there’s actually worthwhile armor/wepaons/etc. to want to farm for, however I think the costs of those items could’ve been lowered a bit. By the time I reached Yorshka I wasn’t able to acquire any Proof of Concord Kept so I just gave myself 999 with cheat engine, something the Convergence wiki even recommends doing. Either way it’s just skipping pointless farming so whatever, the rest of the game still plays out normally. My favorite feature of this mod is being able to rematch bosses, I used that a lot to afford upgrade materials. I’ll definitely play more DS3 Convergence in the future but I have some different plans for now. Something not Souls.. maybe God of War Ragnarok on the hardest difficulty… maybe even a Hollow Knight blind playthrough… we’ll see.
