After struggling in the previous request, I figured out the best way to handle movement in the lengthy running sections: use the touch screen on DS and the D-Pad on PS2 to handle movement separately when handling them together isn't viable. While this method has its own challenges, it's definitely better for certain areas, and as a result, R10 was much less of a pain to record than R09.
If you go up to the diner before talking to Mati at the accident, the diner will be empty. Interestingly, Ken talks about how everyone on Lospass has great eyesight, which is a nice bit of foreshadowing. The arrangement of Gershwin’s I Love You, Porgy in the diner is phenomenal, too.
Version differences:
- On PS2, there are palm trees on the right side of the trash disposal area, but not on DS. In general, there are more palm trees outside the hotel on PS2.
- On PS2, when Shoutaro tells Mondo to stop with his soliloquy, his head is already turned to Mondo, but on DS, he is facing away from him initially and turns his head on the next line.
- The way Shoutaro and his father laugh differs between versions: on PS2, they physically laugh first before their laugh text boxes appear, while on DS, these actions happen simultaneously.
- In the Toriko section, Christina occasionally looks up at each character while spinning on PS2, but not on DS.
The truck's angle in the car accident also changes, much like in R09: https://imgur.com/a/qspW9j4
Up next is R11, which is a really pivotal request. I’m definitely looking forward to it.
