Well, here is the last of the season pass videos for For Honor, and frankly, I'm glad to be done with them. This game just didn't hold the appeal for me. I wanted to like it, I really did. But the more I played, the less fun the game ended up being. It just ground me down until I didn't want to look at it anymore. And there are so many other games out there, that this one fell by the wayside.

But, a new season is out, so what about the additions? Once more, we have two new classes. Vikings get a Shaman, and Samurai get Aramusha. How do they fare? Well, the Shaman honestly feels a little too much like the Berzerker for me. And while the Berzerker is my favorite "harassment" class, I didn't take a linking very quickly to the Shaman. The Aramusha, however, I rather like. Again, he's not too much of a stretch from other classes, but I just took more of a liking to the way he feels. Like other Samurai classes, he looks like one that would take some time and dedication to master, but once you do he could be very powerful.

They added a new game mode as well, Tribute. A capture the flag style mode. Honestly, I had a lot more fun with that than most of the other game modes. Enough that it might just rekindle my interest in the game.

However, the game is showing some serious signs of slowing. I didn't like the animations for the new characters as much (emotes and executions). Quality wise, sure, they're fine, but they seemed uninspired. Not to mention that this game has all the problems that modern microtransaction, lootbox driven games have, yet seemed to go largely under the radar when people complain about those games. A game so forgotten that people can't even stay outraged over it.

I don't think the concept of this game deserved what happened to it. Do I think the lack of lootboxes and microtransactions could have saved it? Probably not. I think this is just more of a niche market game that was trying to go past its niche. And that rarely turns out well. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/the_nametag
