Forest of Hope Red Pikmin Only (Challenge Mode: 372)
The only rule of Red Only is that you are completely disallowed from plucking any pikmin but red ones.
A fun little challenge!
This took me slightly longer to achieve. It is quite difficult to collect everything I did. I collected absolutely everything that is simple to collect, and some things that are not so simple red only.
Luckily there is no RNG in this run, unless you count the colour changing pellet posies. Therefore each run was viable.
Cool tricks/ things to note:
Clipping out of bounds with the dead dwarf at noon to get past the stone wall and box.
Pikmin routing on some occasions putting every single pikmin to perfect use (quite proud of this route except for 1 mistake where I should have put 10 or 13 pikmin up by the clam clamp instead of 9 so I could carry everything at once).
Pushing the bulbear. I discovered that the bulbear corpse is most likely the least "dense" and easiest to push item in the game. Even an enemy walking into it will push it far.
Pushing the pearl. I discovered where the best spot to collect the pearl is so I don't have to push it all the way down the ledge.
Possible ways to beat this score:
Figure out ways to get the pellets out of the water next to the bridge.
Push more stuff off the area where I collect the pearl.
Collect the other pearl instead of the bulbear (difficult and time consuming).
Push another bulbear corpse, this time through the stone gate in the area where ACB would be. This is the biggest one that I believe is possible. I have managed to collect it through the gate, but I'm not sure if it's possible to collect it aswell as the other bulbear that I push. It's 1 or the other. It probably would have been easier to collect the bulbear through the wall, now that I think about it.
A better route with better execution may allow you to collect more things.
The other pearl is likely not viable since the pikmin only carry it to the centre of the arena, therefore you would have to push it all the way and this takes ages even with enemy help (again, most likely unviable).
The blue 20 pellet on the wall behind the stone gate is not possible as the bulborb will refuse to help you push it through the gate.
