The only rule of Red Only is that you are completely disallowed from plucking any pikmin but red ones.

This challenge mode red only run is likely my favourite of all of them because of the uniqueness of the tricks. After having lots of what I would call "not fun" it turned out to be one of the most satisfying things I've done in all my red only challenges ever.

I would like to note that I had a run where I scored 251 POINTS but I lost the footage. Not that it matters, I'm overall much happier with this route and all I ever wanted was to collect everything I did. I was able to finish in the time remaining pretty easily.

I collected absolutely everything except for the blue 20 pellet and blue 5 pellet. It was annoying that I only have 34 pikmin, due to there already being 100 pikmin in the field most of which I'm not allowed to pluck, but I persevered and settled on a good route.

I now have a good route to work with, so resetting due to bad BLL drops is viable. I only wanted 2 out of 4 10 pellets to be red. It took only a few resets at that point to finish this run.

I'm glad the plucking stage is early, since that is the most time consuming section should you mess up. Luckily, I figured out how to perform the wollywog clip with relative ease!

Cool tricks/ things to note:
Clipping up to the red pikmin that are by normal means inaccessible. This allows me to have a grand total of 34 reds at my disposal. To do this, I let the wollywog force me into the wall while lying down, then get up at a specific timing. It didn't really need to be done first try. It turns out I had a decent bit of time to spare. Lucky that I got it fast anyway.
Clipping out of bounds with the dead dwarf, which allows access to the red 5 pellet and the snagret.
Pushing the red 5 pellet down. If you were to attempt to collect this normally, the pikmin will carry it to the stone gate and get stuck. You cannot push it straight to the arena. You must first push it along the seam of 2 different floor tiles, then down to the gate border. Finally, you can push it so the pikmin will carry it down.

Possible ways to beat this score:
Figure out a way to get the 5 pellet out of the water (probably using the wollywog)
Get better RNG. If all RNG pellets were red, I wager a score of 260+ is possible.
Collect the blue 20 pellet. Very unlikely since the path pikmin take is into the water, even when red only. If you can manage to push it to the stone gate, it is hard to push through but probably possible, even though I've never done it. Doing all of that is all well and good, but then you'd probably not have enough time to do everything else. This one is least likely to be viable.
