Alright, unlike the rest of the game and mathcrafting bots/drones (which is how I planned out the city grid-like layout I have reasonably well enough lol) I have close to zero experience with assembly lines, despite being a FOUNDRY nut. Probably what I'm going to do is import EVERYTHING first, set up one or two of the robot lines just so I have a clearer idea on the space needed, then double back and start planning.

So, it's pretty much time to "cheat" by mass importing (Hey, the game allows it unmodded, so, lol)

Post-stream:

Holy hell, that was way, WAY more painful than I expected. I'm actually tempted to completely redo this segment with what I learned, but I'll leave it up as a little keeping-it-honest as to what my gaming is like when I actually need to learn what's going on as opposed to blazing through the entire game at mach speed because I'm familiar enough with it to write steam guides, lol.

Going through the motions of what's required per Assembly Line 1) was painfully slow from doing a bunch of stuff I didn't need to 2) was very informative on what I NEED to do.

I got some ideas on an overall layout across multiple bot types that will simplify a lot of the random bus branching, but I'll need to let this simmer a bit.

What's definitely clear is I'll need a dedicated Paint manufacturing area completely separate from my other Olumite product, as this stuff needs A LOT OF PAINT. And I can't ship that in, lol

I may or may not go back to my Drone/Bot production area to sort out numbers there before forging ahead with other assembly line types, but we'll see how fast I can figure out the simplification

I'll also need to maths shipping pads required at 100% bonus efficiency because I don't want to have to rejuggle spacing for that.
