The Army Foundation College in Harrogate is the training ground for our junior soldiers; the place where teenagers are turned into troops

Over the course of ten months they go from civvies to soldiers.

The college opened in 1998, replacing the Army Apprentices School. It employs more than 500 permanent staff here who are responsible for developing junior soldiers.

1300 students train for 42 weeks, covering everything from skill at arms to drill and education, including maths, English, IT and military studies.
