With not as much time to game as of late, Gargoyle's Quest fit the bill as far as being short enough to learn quickly, easily available, and fun to play. I learned to play this game on the Nintendo Switch Online service. I would play the game in pieces per night before bed. Finally, during some morning coffee time, I got a solid run in to complete the game. A few playthroughs later, and here we are. I like the game for the progression system. You feel properly powered up as you move along the journey. The wall sticking and flying mechanics are fun. Firebrand (the main character here, and a-hole bad guy in Ghost n Goblins) is a cool character with some funny animations like his wide screaming mouth or short guy macho walk 😆 The bosses are cool looking, easy but fun enough.
It's a fun one, with some learning to be had before you could breeze through it but definitely one of the better games for the Game Boy.
