Yo! Here's another devlog video for Gearend, my Metroid-like in development.

Over the past week or so, I've been working on scheduling and planning for Gearend, as well as implementing some gameplay and physics stuff. Gotta have it actually feel good!

In this video, I talk about scheduling and the general world design. The placement of rooms, for example, is very important for Metroid-likes, as the player needs to be properly guided through the game. If funneling is done incorrectly, then the player can get lost or the game can feel like they're just wandering around, which isn't good, of course.

Anyway, this is part 1. Part 2 will show the actual progress I have currently on the game.
