Yo!

Here's another devlog for my Metroid-like in development, Gearend. In this one, I show a bit of the game as it stands, and explain how I do the platforming and physics.

Basically, by using raycasts to detect, come into contact with, and align to the ground, I can have nice, snappy, accurate platformer physics. It works pretty well, and using this component, it can be reused and easily added to other games. I also can make it more and more accurate by simply adding more casting points.
