3,010Oh baby, another infinite money glitch! In Final Fantasy Legend III for the Nintendo Game Boy (also known as SaGa III) there is a real easy glitch you can exploit to gain roughly 16.7 million gold in just one fight. The setup is super simple and can be done in battle against any enemy that can STEAL money from you.
In essence, all you need to do is get into a battle against at least one Thief and have him Steal more gold from you than you actually have. When that happens, run from the battle.
In this example, I spent nearly all of my money on potions and stuff so that I only have 11 gold left. As long as you have less than 100 gold, you should be fine.
Then I wandered around an area where the Thief enemy can spawn until I encountered a battle with a Thief. There were other enemies too, but you can eliminate them from the battle to make the process go faster.
Then, I continually Parried until the Thief sucessfully stole gold from me. He usually steals around 110 gold when successful. But since I only had 11 gold in my inventory, my gold value underflowed to a very large number. After the Thief steals from you, Run Away from that battle.
If you did everything right, you'll see that your gold value displays some number around 777,117. Your actual gold value at this point is more like 16.7 million, but this number will reset if you gain any amount of gold, so you might want to spend it immediately if possible.
Sometimes gaining gold immediately after performing this trick will reset your gold back to 1. But if you spend a lot of your gold before you gain any more gold through selling or winning a battle, your gold can be reset to 999,999 and that's not so bad! That's basically infinite gold.
