This run was timed SDA timing. That means timing begins when gameplay starts which is at the first frame of the circle transition. RTA timing begins when I press the "Start" option in the main menu. For both SDA and RTA timing, timing ends when Rez hits the third TV button in his second phrase, ending gameplay.

Great run, nice to hit the 55 mark. I still need to go through and work on some levels though. So if I return to this, then my goal will be 54:xx. Splits are in the following link and I split late.

Here are my thoughts on each level…

Out of Toon: Slow “Whack the Five Mushrooms” remote. Other then that, decent level.

Smellraiser: I wonder if collecting 30 collectables while doing the blood cooler remote is worth it to gain another life.

Frankensteinfeld: Decent level

Fine Tooning: An easy level to lose time on. Failed in 2 spots but overall good level.

The Umpire Strikes Out: Mistakes here and there.

Pangaea 90210: You can keep on jumping up from 21:42 to the upper ledge saving 10 seconds but you have to mash the jump button really fast.

www.dotcom.com: Didn’t go for 3 fast strats on the second remote.

This Old Cave: One time I timed hitting the checkpoint when TV canceling the 2 TVs that are near the checkpoint and it appears that it is faster to do that by like 2 or 3 seconds. Missed a TV cancel in this level as well as not taking enough damage abuse early on for the TV Cancels to be a quick death.

Honey I Shrunk the Gecko: This level is the longest one. Didn’t go for some fast strats in this level. Wish my gameplay was somewhat better.

Poltergex: Skipped the blood coolers remote since it is too long to get. There is this strange quote at 36:19 that doesn’t sound like Gex. The quote said “Bring up to Him”. Sounded like dialog from Tomb Raider or some other game. Did you know if you replace the Gex 2 disk with a Gex 3 disk when Gex is in the overworld hub area of this game and play dialog such as hitting the huge gates, you can listen to sounds and dialogs that are from the Gex 3 disk?

Mao Tse Tongue: Failed the window jump right at the very beginning. Slow first remote but good second remote.

Samurai Night Fever: The first ninja that was following me at the beginning nearly messed me up for the skip at the beginning of the level. My skip setup: First I go to the corner. Then I start to run when the platform is swinging back. I start my first jump when Gex is on the dark spot of the floor. Then I tailbounce right from the other corner to the swinging platform.

Pain in the Asteroids: You can directly jump to the arch remote TV so I lost potentially about 23 seconds by not doing that skip. I just don’t like this skip at all since you have to mash and you have a chance to fall into space. Besides that, overall this level’s run wasn’t that bad but it wasn’t that good. There is this new UFO skip that I also didn’t go for. Click the link if you want to see it.

Channel Z: Slow fight but at least I didn’t miss a cycle. For the last hit, I have this setup where you jump into Rez at the same time he shoots lasers from his eye from a certain spot so that I can move to any buttons that are going to open every time most likely. First I searched for the group of 4 TVs that Rez is watching you. Then to the left of the TVs there is another static TV. I turn the camera so that the top left corner of that TV is barely on screen. Then I moved Gex all the back as far as he can. I ran and karate kick towards Rez when I can't see his white fingernails anymore on his third swipe. There could be a better spot to jump to Rez.

End: Glad to get back to this category and get a good updated run since my last uploaded run of this category was from 2012. Like I said. I might be going to Gex 2 100% but I might do something else for a change. Thanks for reading this and watching my run! :D
