AndyPanther found out that you could get on top of the UFO first. Then I found this skip. This is for the “Ride the Warp Tube” mission. You need to get the icy fly under the bridge for this.

This skip saves around 13 seconds. If you want to play it safe, get air from the air container at 00:34. Do not get air from the air container at 00:50 because after the cutscene ends, the UFO begins to head towards this area making this timed.

Once you are on, you have to run to gain momentum for jumps to be higher then you tailbounce from the UFO to the higher platform before the UFO goes to a completely different location. The UFO also goes away from the higher platform when it is rising so when you do your jumps on the UFO, be aware of that. This skip can be used in runs with some visual cue.

If you stay on the UFO without doing anything, you will be in that different location as well. You have 1 or 2 frames to jump off of the UFO from the different location before the UFO disappears. So I wonder if this can lead to another skip, such as skipping to the “Destroy Five Crystal Power Cells” TV.
