Timing starts when I first control Gex and timing ends on the blackout of the final boss. Final time is around 2:24:59.20. RTA timing is around 2:25:04.20.

Achieved sub 2:25 in SDA timing. The really bad levels in this run were Western Station and Mythology Network. I lost nearly 2 minutes in these levels but I got the frame perfect TV cancel in Holy Moses that saved nearly a minute. Click the following link for splits.

This was really grind heavy because of how awful Mythology Network was. First of all, I needed to risk the whole entire run EVERY time to the first TV cancel that was frame perfect. Then after that was the rainbow TV cancel skip that was a really precise RNG based TV cancel. I actually failed that cancel in this run, wasting over 1 minute. Even though this run has better routes, I would say that my 2:25:47 run has better gameplay then this run overall and this category still has a lot of optimal strats to be put in. But optimizing this category is really frustrating due to the frame perfect stuff that I need to put up with. I might grind this a little more in the future because I am somewhat unsatisfied with this run.

I found a new method for the Rainbow TV Cancel skip which is far more better then the old method. I still need to make a video about that. Basically to do the skip you hold only the run button for Gex to go against the green pad until the Rezling is facing towards the TV when the Rezling is behind Gex. Then you let go of the run button and jump straight after. I haven’t experiment with this fully yet but it is such a better method then before.
