Ghost Pilots, 1991 SNK (NEO GEO)
7Vertical shooter (one of the NEO's earlier games) a bit too reminiscent of Capcom's 1942. The graphics and music are predictably better; the gameplay perhaps not so much. The challenge is a bit tough; the enemy bullets aren't generally fast (though some are) but the enemies get to be everywhere and tend to ram you. But perhaps the biggest challenge of all is the game takes WAY TOO DAMN LONG! To finish this game you will likely need to sit for at least an hour and a half. No thanks.. This game is really not one of NEO GEO's finer moments; much better shooters can be found (I'd recommend BLAZING STAR, PULSTAR, AERO FIGHTERS series, VIEWPOINT and perhaps LAST RESORT). I guess maybe it's called Ghost Pilots because you'll keep dying and coming back. Though you'd be best served by not performing the latter. Pass.
