Anyone who knows me knows that I'm going to explore whatever version of GIMP is installed on the system, and why not! GIMP is a very awesome application. I know that for hard-core graphics artist who make use of really wild features, GIMP isn't going to be seen as a PhotoShop alternative. But for those who don't need the whole damn kitchen sink and who need something more capable than MS Paint, GIMP definitely fits the bill.

With the support for various formats and filters, along with cropping and resizing tools, GIMP provides a wide array of various tools one needs to create that next awesome wallpaper for their XFree86 desktop. Version 1.2 is installed with RedHat Linux 7.3.

VMware Player 17 is virtualizing a workstation with a single core allocated to it. The host has a Ryzen 5 5500 6-Core CPU running at 4.2GHz. The VM has 256MB's of RAM allocated to it, a VESA Compativle display adatper, and XFree86 is running at the screen resolution of 1024 by 768, 16-bit color depth. Also installed is a Ensoniq 1371 Audio Adapter, an ATAPI CD-ROM Drive, and a 16GB HD image with RedHat Linux 7.3 installed.
