Anno 1800 is a city-builder with a heavy dose of logistics and an adjustable shot of naval combat. Build some cities, watch them get the plague, put out fires and fake news, send expeditions, take over some islands, go treasure hunting, and other things.

Most text is available in Russian. The interface displays most things in single words and short phrases. NPC comments, queries, and status updates appear with short paragraphs. Quest descriptions may have several paragraphs of text and sometimes even riddles! Expeditions present the most verbose text, but the effects of choices that matter most are summarized succinctly. Anno 1800 is good for beginners in reading Russian, presenting the occasional comprehension challenge when NPCs ask questions.

All speech is available in Russian. NPCs react to many of your actions, including how you go about your business on your own islands. The narrator updates you with all the bad news. Anno 1800 is good for exposure to Russian speech.

Before buying the game, check to make sure your desired language is available in your region. If you are in Russia and you want to play in a language other than Russian, очень жаль. The interface is definitely available in Russian, despite this labelling. Also, this is an EU page, so why is the month first?
