This saves something like 5 seconds and can be tricky to pull off, so one shouldn't fret if it doesn't work out in a run.

Basically, using the "slightly higher double jump" exploit you can use the chandelier as a platform without its cutscene starting, saving you the trouble of having to lower the chandelier twice. To do the jump, either tap X or try to hit X when Kratos' feet should hit the ground and with luck this happens.

As a bonus, when you finally have to lower the platform and the cutscene starts, it points Kratos to an empty balcony, looking vaguely glitchy.
