God of War Ragnarok Cliffside Ruins Collectible Locations
Cliffside Ruins contains 5 Collectible Locations in God of War Ragnarok. This walkthrough will guide you to all the collectibles in Cliffside Ruins Region in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies and 100% completion is included. Nothing is missable, everything can be collected after the story.
Nornir Chests: 1
Legendary Chests: 1
Lore: 1
River Delta Favor: 1
Lunda’s Broken Bracers: 1 (not tracked in region overview)
It’s recommended to collect everything after the story. Most regions can’t be completed on the first visit because they require certain skills from story progress.
#1 – Nornir Chest
After docking your boat at Cliffside Ruins, you can find the Nornir Chest on the right. You must turn 3 symbols to match the ones shown on the chest. #1 is on the right, burn the vines by placing purple runic arrows and then use your Chaos Blades on them to cause a chain reaction. You can shoot up to 3 arrows at one spot to increase the radius (place 9 runic arrows total, 3 spots x 3 arrows each). #2 is found to the left of the Chest but you must climb up the wall and jump across the platforms to see it from above. #3 can be seen from the blacksmith, must get back in your boat and row it there.
#2 – River Delta Favor (Conscience for the Dead)
Left of the Nornir Chest, talk to the ghost to get this quest. You will automatically complete it on your way to the next Lore Marker, see instructions in the next collectible below.
#3 – Lore (Lore Marker – Historian)
After accepting the favor from the ghost, climb up the left wall, jump across the platforms again where you hit one of the Nornir symbols. There’s a gold chain hanging from the cliffs but it’s blocked by vines. From the platform you must place 3 purple runic arrows on the cliffs and attack with your Chaos Blades to cause a chain reaction, which will drop the gold chain. Climb up and use your Chisel on the altar to get rid of the rocks blocking the river. Get back in your boat and row it south. After passing the point where the rocks blocked the river you must turn left to enter another region “The Veiled Passage”. Go through this region, killng all enemies along the way to complete the favor. After passing through the region you’ll end up on the other side of Cliffside Ruins, you find the Lore Marker there. Where you must lower a chain bridge.
#4 – Legendary Chest (Mists of Helheim – Heavy Runic Attack)
From the Lore Marker, turn left to see this chest. It’s next to where you pull the chains of the drawbridge. However, it’s blocked by golden ore and you can’t jump down. To blow up the ore, place 3 purple runic arrows from the wall to the floor. Use the Chaos Blades to cause a chain reaction that will blow up the rubble, then you can jump down to open the chest.
#5 – Lunda’s Broken Bracers (Quest Item)
After using the chain to lower the bridge, open the red chest on the right to find this. Doesn’t count as a Collectible but is needed for a side quest.
Completing previous “River Delta Favor”
After getting the above collectibles simply pull the chain of the drawbridge to get back to the quest giver, talk to her to complete the favor.
